A bag charm is primarily intended to stand out: it is essentially the jewelry for your bag. Most charms have a lobster clasp, so you can easily hang them on a ring, handle, or zipper.
What is a bag chain?
A bag chain is usually a longer chain or strand of beads that you hang from your bag or use as an extra handle. While a bag charm often features one eye-catching figure, a bag chain is more about the chain or beads themselves.
